also, a few other old, really good horror flicks:
The Haunting (1960s)--so much better than the remake. you never see the ghost, but you can feel your skin creep during certain parts
The Innocents (1960s)--really good psychological horror. it doesn't necessarily go where you expect it to, and the ending weirded me out.
The Changeling (1980)--not the one with Angelina Jolie. this stars George C. Scott. a little more modern than the others, but it's also got a good creepy feel to it.
Rosemary's Baby--classic. definitely not a jump out and scare you, but a slow, building uneasiness til the very end.
